Al Porto

Located on the water’s edge in Jolly Harbour, Al Porto is all about great quality, simple, freshly prepared pizza, and homemade pasta served in stylish contemporary surroundings.
It’s one of those times when you sit down and question whether you are in Antigua. Of course the fact the air is warm and yachts and dinghies can literally tie up marina side reminds you that you are in the Caribbean.

There is a large deck on the water with a constant breeze that makes for a perfect dining experience. The open kitchen allows patrons to have a peek at the chefs in action. The brick domed pizza oven churns out delicious thin crust pizzas… many say the best pizza on the island!

The menu is strictly Italian with authentic dishes from various regions in Italy. You can start with the antipasto platter for 2, or some simple starters like caprese, bruschetta, or calamari. Enjoy a large selection of tradional pizzas like florentine, prosciutto and pepperoni. Pasta’s to die for. Not to mention mouth watering mains.. chicken, fillet steak, fresh mahi mahi or fresh lobster…. and don’t forget the sumptuous deserts.

The “ON THE GRILL” section of the menu, with a selection of  steaks, with sides and a choice of a delicious sauces of your choice and the potato gratin is a particular favourite of mine! The wine list is an excellent selection of French and Italian options including Rose, prosecco and champagne.

Al Porto is open for dinner seven days a week from 6 pm. Tuesday is the famous 2-4-1 pizza night, when the restaurant is literally buzzing. Two sittings at 6 pm and 8 pm are hotly contested. Be sure to call and make a reservation. Walk-ins rarely get a seat on Tuesdays.

Thursdays’ is all you can eat Pasta night, with six different types of hot & fresh homemade pastas in a buffet style

On Mondays, kick back and enjoy live music from popular bands, its always a fun night.
